The percentage point gap between disadvantaged pupils ‘working at the expected standard’ or ‘working at a greater depth within the expected standard’ at Key Stage 2 (KS2) and all pupils nationally. Pupils must achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in the reading test and a scaled score of 100 or more in the maths test and teacher assessed in writing as ‘working at the expected standard’ or ‘working at a greater depth within the expected standard’. Disadvantaged pupils are classified as those pupils who are eligible for the pupil premium in that financial year. These are: • All children registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years • All children who have been looked after for 1 day or more, are adopted (from care) or left care under a special guardianship order or a residence order.
